Privacy Policy
Current for the Forever Known beta. We are finalizing these with legal counsel and may update them before public launch.
Forever Known is a place to record and preserve personal memories and stories, and to share them with people you choose. This page explains, in plain language, how we handle your information during our beta. A fuller policy is being finalized with counsel.
What we collect
Your email address (for passwordless sign-in); the memories you create, including text, photos, audio, and video; transcripts we generate from recordings; and basic technical information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
To provide the service: store your memories, transcribe recordings, generate optional AI-assisted questions and summaries, keep your account secure, and improve the product. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your memories for advertising.
Service providers
We use Anthropic (AI questions and summaries), OpenAI (transcription), Resend (sign-in email), and our hosting provider to operate the service. They process information only to perform services for us.
Sharing
Each memory is public or private, your choice. Only memories you mark public appear on a shared link or QR page. We otherwise share information only with the providers above or when required by law.
Your choices
You can export a complete copy of your memories at any time, edit them, delete individual memories, and request deletion of your account. You control public or private for each memory.
Voice and video
Voice and video are sensitive. We collect them only with your consent and handle them as described in our Voice and Biometric Policy.
Children
Forever Known is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13.
Security and retention
We protect information with encrypted transport and access controls, and we keep it for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. No system is perfectly secure.
